I am seeking an experienced architectural surveyor Team Lead for the following requirement. This is a direct quote from the statement of work on an upcoming contract: Architecture: Surveyors will conduct representative exterior documentation (photographs and notes that meet SHPO standards for evaluation of resources) on all resources. Complete the survey in accordance with Section 110 of the NHPA, as well as the Guidelines for Conducting History/Architecture Surveys in Ohio, the Guidelines for the Recordation of Architectural Resources for the Ohio Historic Inventory in I-Form, and the I-Form User Guide. Interior documentation may be necessary to confirm the integrity of previously surveyed resources. The purpose of this portion of the investigations is to apply approved archaeological field and laboratory methods to determine if archaeological sites are present within the defined project areas in accordance with state and federal guidelines for archaeological inventory and to obtain Ohio State Historic Preservation Office concurrence. The site is approximately 18 acres in size and consists entirely of recent construction. Well over 50 percent of the site has been disturbed by construction and demolition of buildings (no longer extant) as well as the construction of the existing buildings. An archaeological survey will be conducted along with hand excavated shovel test pits (STP’s), following the Ohio SHPO’s Archaeology Guidelines. All STP’s shall be screened through ¼ inch hardware cloth. Changes in depth of soil colors and textures shall be recorded on standard STP forms with reference to Munsell color code descriptions.
