The Coordinator will be knowledgeable about Florida archaeology and the overall mission of the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN). They will assist the Center's Director with public relations, development and management of outreach programs, and the establishment of collaborative relationships between the Center and the public of SE Florida. They are responsible for the majority of the Center's outreach efforts and will work extensively with educators, students, and the public.
Extensive travel within southern Florida, with an emphasis on the four counties of the SE region.
Professional experience with public outreach, public interpretation, education, or heritage tourism required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience with office management, graphic design, GIS/GPS, museum display and/or display development preferred.
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
