Position: Archaeological Technician
Position Type: On-Call Temporary
Base Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Location: La Grande, Oregon and Walla Walla, Washington
Anderson Perry & Associates, Inc., a full-service engineering firm with offices in La Grande, OR; Walla Walla, WA; and Prineville, OR, is seeking applicants for on-call temporary archaeological technicians for the 2017 field season.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Three positions are available for on-call temporary archaeological technicians for numerous inventory, archaeological site testing, and monitoring projects for the 2017 field season. These positions are project-based, but could last through the season depending on workload. Hourly wage rates will be based on education and experience, but will generally start between $14 to $16/hour. Per diem and lodging will be paid during work sessions.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified applicants for the positions must be able to hike at least 8 miles per day in a variety of terrains and elevations while carrying up to 25 pounds of field gear. Minimum requirements include a B.A./B.S. degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related field and at least 6 months experience in archaeological field survey. The projects will occur in eastern Oregon and southeastern Washington and will be based out of our La Grande, Oregon, and Walla Walla, Washington, offices, so candidates with residency and experience in these areas will receive priority.
