WSA Field Technicians

 

WSA, Inc. is currently seeking several experienced archaeological field technicians for intensive survey in Arkansas starting the first week in April and potentially extending into May 2016. A bachelor's degree in Anthropology and demonstrated Phase I experience is required. Preferred candidates should expect to excavate, map and record up to 40 shovel tests per day in rugged and brushy terrain. And be able to work with enthusiasm under the supervision of the project archaeologist. Demonstrated past field experience working with Trimble XT GPS mapping units is preferred. The pay rate is based on individual qualifications and experience. Depending on weekly schedule, overtime will be paid as accrued. Per diem is reimbursed by mail at $30 per day per overnight stay. Typical work week is 4-5 ten hour days followed by 1-2 days off. Lodging arrangements are provided by the project. Per diem and lodging are provided on off days. This a non-smoking project per client requirements (including all breaks). The project will be supervised from our Austin, Texas office. WSA does not pay for any personal travel costs to Austin or to project areas in Arkansas. WSA will provide paid transportation to project areas to and from Austin in company vehicles.
