Cornerstone Environmental is seeking applicants for two Crew Chiefs and eight or more Crewmembers for archaeological projects near Flagstaff, Arizona. These projects are slated to begin on April 18, 2016, pending weather conditions, and will consist of Class III archaeological survey conducted prior to fuels reduction treatments on the Coconino National Forest. The field schedule will be structured for four ten-hour days per week (total of 40 hours per week) for a duration likely exceeding two months. Duties include extended hiking at elevations exceeding 7000 feet above sea level, potentially through rough terrain, while carrying a backpack and personal gear. Applicants are expected to have experience with orienteering, operating handheld Garmin GPS receivers, archaeological site recording (including artifact identification and site mapping), and following agency standards and guidelines. Crewmembers must hold a bachelor�⒠�s degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related field and must have experience in the Southwest. Crew Chief applicants additionally must demonstrate experience on the Coconino National Forest to be considered for leadership positions. These positions are local, hourly positions, with no per diem or hotel included, and are subject to the Service Contract Act wage scale for Arizona.
