R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. has an opening for an entry level Maritime Archeologist in our Frederick, Maryland office. This term position is for ten months, with the possibility for conversion to permanent status for the right candidate. The successful candidate will work under direct supervision to assist with on-going marine projects. This position requires the candidate to have an M.A. in nautical archeology or related field and to have completed an accredited field school in nautical archeology. The candidate should possess knowledge of American maritime history and understand the basic scientific methods and techniques used in archeological research. Experience surveying, processing and analyzing geophysical remote sensing data, archeological diving and technical report authorship are highly desirable. This position will require travel as well as office assignments.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with educational and professional experience.
