On Call - Archaeological Field and Lab Technicians

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support, utilizing a basic understanding of anthropological and archaeological field techniques in connection with locating, testing and evaluating cultural resource sites.
  • Conduct field surveys using topographic maps, aerial photographs, and Trimble Global Positioning Satellite receivers.
  • Provides technical support and conducts laboratory analysis as work is available.
  • These Projects may involve extended periods of travel in remote locations.

Required Education/Experience

  • Candidates must have a BA/BS in Anthropology or a related field.

Desired Education/Experience 

  • Your resume must provide detailed work experience during the last five years, three current references, and complete contact information.
  • We expect you to have at least one year CRM field experience including survey, testing and excavation.
  • Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to perform pedestrian survey, test excavation, data recovery excavation, artifact processing and analysis and accurate paperwork completion.
  • Preference will be given to technicians located in the Cincinnati, Ohio �⒠� Midwest Region
