Re-Post: Archaeological Monitors needed for Pipeline Project in IA, SD, ND

Analytical Environmental Services (AES) is currently seeking experienced construction monitors for a pipeline project crossing portions of Iowa, South Dakota, and North Dakota. The project is expected to start on August 1, and monitoring assignments will last for varying durations on and off through the fall.  A bachelor’s degree in anthropology and experience in construction monitoring for archaeological resources is required. Preference will be given to those applicants who are based in the project region, but proximity is not required; AES will reimburse all reasonable travel expenses.

The candidate must be able to work up to 6 days per week and 10-12 hours per day in a variety of weather conditions; there may be brief down time between monitoring tasks – AES will provide 8 hrs. pay and per diem on these days (though not on Sundays/official days off).  Because monitoring is likely to occur in brief episodes rather than over an extended period, AES would like to pre-qualify a number of technicians who could be on call. Each technician must supply his/her own hard hat, safety vest, steel-toed boots, and clear and shaded safety glasses; anyone appearing on-site without the required equipment will not be allowed to work. Monitors will be required to turn in expense and timesheets and daily monitoring logs each week.  Per diem ($200/day) will be paid retroactively about a week after expense sheets are turned in.  Pay is $25/hour, and pay checks will be issued semi-monthly.  Please submit a resume to This email address is being protected from spambots.
