Tetra Tech's Salt Lake City office is currently looking to hire Archaeological Monitor(s) for an ongoing project covering the Summer of 2017.
Responsibilities: Provide technical monitoring assistance to crew crew/field directors during ground disturbing activities. The technical monitor will observe ground disturbance activities for potential cultural resources and report discoveries as outlined in project treatment plan. Position may also include work on other potential cultural resource undertakings, including but not limited to field inventory, evaluative testing, and site mitigation.
The work will require travel to the job site within the region. Single occupancy hotel and per diem is provided.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Experience conducting cultural resource construction monitoring and/or holding current MSHA certification is a plus. Must have at least two years of experience assisting in cultural resource management projects in the Great Basin and lntermountain West of the United States including Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, and Colorado.
Degree Requirements: Minimum education requirement is a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Archaeology.
