Temporary Archaeological Field Technicians
Logan Simpson currently seeks full-time temporary Archaeological Field Technicians to conduct archaeological inventory work in Arizona, reporting to either our Tucson or Tempe office.
The ideal candidate will have a B.A. or M.A. in Anthropology, completed archaeological field school, and possess experience conducting fieldwork in a cultural resource management setting.
Individuals must be capable of conducting a cultural resources pedestrian survey, which includes: operating a handheld GPS unit; identifying archaeological artifacts and features; documenting archaeological artifacts and features in written notes and on tablet computers; and walking in remote locations and over steep terrain for extended periods of time, while carrying a pack weighing up to 45 lbs. Ability to work cooperatively with crew members and supervisors a must!
