ARCHAEOLOGICAL ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER / FIELD DIRECTOR – Frederick,
R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. is seeking applicants for an
Archaeological Assistant Project Manager / Field Director position in our
Frederick, Maryland office. The successful candidate for this position will
have an M.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology and will have worked in CRM for one
to five years. At least one year of successful supervisory experience is
required. Excellent field and writing skills are essential, as is experience
with GPS and familiarity with GIS. Knowledge of both historic and
prehistoric archeology and the material culture of Eastern North America are
strongly preferred. Superior interpersonal skills are essential. Training in
or familiarity with NHPA and other cultural resources regulations are
desirable. Candidate must be able to travel to project sites to direct and
conduct Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III investigations. This position
offers the potential for significant career growth and development in our
award-winning 35 year old practice. Residence within commuting distance of
the Frederick, Maryland office will be necessary for this position.
